MTG: Limited RCQ - August 1st @ 10am

Join us at Misfit Hobbies for our upcoming Magic: The Gathering Regional Championship Qualifier, played in the Limited Booster Draft format.

In booster draft, players sit around a table in a semi-circle. Each player then opens a booster pack and picks a single card without showing the other players.

Each player then passes the remaining cards to the left, and continues drafting from the new cards they get from the player on their right. This continues until all of the cards in those packs have been distributed (drafted). Then each player opens a second pack, but this time, pass the pack to the right. After all those cards are drafted, you do the same with the third pack, passing to the left again. At the end, each player will have about 45 cards (along with any number of basic lands) which they can use to build a 40 card deck.

This will be a structured competitive event, so players are expected to arrive on time, treat opponents and staff with respect, follow the instructions of the tournament organiser, and maintain a fair and welcoming play environment throughout the day. Any rules questions or disputes should be raised with staff during the event.

Players should bring everything they need to play, including their sleeves, dice, tokens, counters, and any other relevant game aids.

Tickets are non-refundable. No physical ticket will be issued. Players need to be present at the start of the tournament to participate in the event and to receive any product and/or materials needed for the event.

Decklist Submission

As this is a Competitive Rules Enforcement Level event, all players are required to submit a complete Modern decklist in advance.

Decklists must be emailed to samuel@misfithobbies.store no later than 24 hours before the advertised start time of the tournament. Your decklist must include your full main deck of at least 60 cards and your sideboard of up to 15 cards, if you are using one. Please include your full name in the email and make sure all card names and quantities are clear.

Once the decklist submission deadline has passed, decklists may not be changed except where permitted by the Head Judge. Players are responsible for ensuring that their submitted decklist is legal for Modern and accurately matches the deck they play on the day.

Players who fail to submit a decklist by the deadline, submit an incomplete or unclear decklist, or play a deck that does not match their submitted list may receive penalties under the Magic Tournament Rules.

Players should still bring a copy of their decklist on the day in case it is needed by the Tournament Organiser or Head Judge.
